The original Acqua al 2 is located in the heart of Florence, Italy where it caters to locals and tourists alike. Its re-interpretation of many traditional Italian dishes, unique decor, and vibrant energy have made this restaurant one of the most popular in the city; even now as it approaches 50 years of business.
From the beginning Acqua al 2 has been known for its vegetarian pasta dishes. To allow its patrons to make the most of their options, a tasting menu (assaggio di primi) of 5 pastas was introduced. This was a huge success and now Acqua al 2 has created “Assaggi” for all of their courses. In addition to the “Assaggi,” a special mention must go to the filet with blueberry sauce and the filet with a balsamic vinegar reduction, which you will find in the “Assaggio di Secondi” (main course sampler).
Another unique feature of the restaurant is the decor. The colorful walls are adorned with signed plates of celebrities, especially performers and artists. At Acqua al 2 we are very proud of our service to the arts community, and we relish that special relationship. While the theater performers and patrons of Florence are a large part of the clientele, Acqua al 2 Firenze has hosted famous artists, writers, actors, and musicians from around the world.
